Two of the biggest payment platforms, PayPal and Venmo, have announced their support for Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains. This move allows users to simplify their crypto transactions by using ENS domains instead of complex wallet addresses.
By integrating ENS into their platforms, PayPal and Venmo users can now simply enter their ENS name when sending cryptocurrency, and the system will automatically resolve it to the correct wallet address. This eliminates the need for copying and pasting lengthy addresses, making transactions more seamless and user-friendly.
In addition to ENS integration, a new Address Book feature has been introduced to enhance the crypto transfer experience. Users can now save and recall the ENS domains they interact with frequently, streamlining the process of sending and receiving cryptocurrencies.
ENS was launched in 2017 on the Ethereum blockchain to provide decentralized domain naming services. This service converts complex cryptographic strings into easily readable names, making it easier for users to remember and share their wallet addresses.
